Life rarely follows a straight path. Sometimes we find ourselves facing changes we didn’t expect, feeling stuck or overwhelmed, or simply wondering what comes next. Whatever has brought you here, you don’t have to figure it all out on your own.
For more than 20 years, I have worked as a Registered Massage Therapist, supporting people through chronic pain, injury, cancer, loss, stress, and many of life’s transitions. With this experience, I can help you explore challenges through a mind-body perspective and consider how your physical and emotional well-being may be connected.
ADHD and neurodivergence are especially meaningful to me, both professionally and personally. Through my experience and as a parent of a child with ADHD, I recognize that neurodivergence can bring both strengths and challenges that look different for everyone. Together, we can explore how ADHD or neurodivergence may be showing up in your everyday life, relationships, emotions, and self-esteem, recognize your strengths, and find practical strategies that work with you rather than against you.
The teen and young adult years can come with a lot—school pressure, friendships, family relationships, anxiety, grief, figuring out who you are, and wondering where you fit. If you’re neurodivergent, there may be even more to discover about yourself and why certain things feel harder or different. I enjoy connecting with youth and young adults (10+) and creating a space where you can be yourself, feel heard and respected, and talk openly without feeling judged or pressured to have it all figured out.
Sport and being active have been an important part of my life. Having grown up as a competitive athlete, I know both the rewards and pressures that can come with sport, including perfectionism, fear of failure, injury, burnout, and performance anxiety. We can work together to build confidence, manage pressure, and pursue performance goals while supporting your mental and emotional well-being.
Perimenopause, menopause, and other life transitions can bring unexpected changes—not only physically, but in how you feel, your relationships, your confidence, and your sense of who you are. I offer a space where you can talk openly about these changes, reconnect with yourself, and move through this stage with greater clarity and confidence.
Ultimately, we are a team. I’m here to listen, help you make sense of what you’re experiencing, and offer perspective and practical strategies when helpful. I believe growth isn’t about changing who you are, but about understanding yourself better, recognizing your strengths, and finding what works for you.
In therapy, I focus on helping clients understand what they’re experiencing, identify patterns that are getting in the way, and build tools that support meaningful change. I aim to make sessions approachable and collaborative, focusing on strengths, small steps, and what feels realistic in everyday life. My style is warm, steady, and practical. You don’t need the “right” words or a clear plan—wherever you are, I will meet you there.
I believe that therapy begins with feeling genuinely seen, and I look forward to supporting clients as they take their first steps into this work.

Are you curious about Suzanne?
What made you decide to choose your role as a therapist?
After more than 20 years in healthcare, I realized that what I valued most was the connection I built with people and being there for them through different stages of their lives. I became increasingly interested in the emotional side of what people were experiencing and wanted to support them differently. Becoming a therapist felt like a natural next step, allowing me to build on the parts of my work I had always found most meaningful.
What is your favourite place to find inspiration?
Near the water. Whether it's a lake, the ocean, or even a pool, I've always found comfort in being in or around water—it helps me slow down, reset, and be present.
What are the top 3 things you do to keep healthy?
Making time for the people who matter to me, staying active, and laughing—a lot.
What are some of your favourite things to do?
I love spending time with family and friends, watching my kids' sports and activities, camping, baking, listening to music, and enjoying a good cup of coffee. I also love to challenge myself—whether it’s a crossword, a brain game, or a 1000+ piece puzzle.
Why would a potential client come to Kindred Hope?
What stands out to me about Kindred Hope is that well-being isn’t viewed through just one lens. I value being part of a team that recognizes the whole person and understands that our emotional well-being can be connected to many different parts of our lives.
What are your biggest interests that show a bit about you?
I’m a lifelong learner and love anything that gets me thinking or teaches me something new. I enjoy listening to audiobooks and watching sports, and I love the energy of live sporting events and concerts. Being in nature is very calming for me, and if the weather allows, you’ll probably find me barefoot. Family is a huge part of my life, and I value time spent together—especially when there’s good food and lots of laughter involved.
