Avery Robb, MA

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Navigating life’s transitions—from late childhood through adulthood—can be overwhelming. Whether you’re juggling school, work, relationships, identity, or emotional challenges, it’s normal to feel stuck, confused, or exhausted. I work with individuals aged 10 and up, including teens, young adults, and adults, who are facing a range of mental health concerns such as anxiety, ADHD, OCD, emotional regulation difficulties, and life stressors.

My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow. Whether you’re a 12-year-old struggling with friendships, a student facing burnout, or an adult dealing with anger, stress, or relationship difficulties, I meet you where you are—with compassion, curiosity, and evidence-based care.

As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), I draw on a strong foundation in counselling psychology, using evidence-based approaches such as Motivational Interviewing, IFS and trauma-informed techniques. My practice is client-centred and flexible, tailored to your unique goals and experiences.

I have a particular interest in working with neurodivergent individuals who may feel like the world isn’t built for how their minds work. I also support clients navigating concerns like disordered eating, self-harm, or low self-worth—helping them develop healthier coping strategies and reconnect with a more compassionate view of themselves.

Additionally, I work with adults who struggle with anger and emotional intensity—whether it’s affecting your relationships, work life, or internal world. Together, we’ll unpack the roots of these emotions, build emotional regulation tools, and create space for healthier expression and connection.

Life today comes with unique pressures—social media, identity exploration, academic or career demands, and personal transitions can all contribute to feeling overwhelmed. Therapy can offer a place to slow down, reflect, and gain clarity. My role is to help you make sense of what you’re feeling, strengthen your inner resources, and support you in building a life that feels more grounded and fulfilling.

If any of this resonates, I’d be honored to be part of your journey. Whether you’re working through anxiety, anger, self-doubt, or just feeling uncertain about what’s next, we can work together to turn those challenges into meaningful growth.

Are you curious about Avery?

I decided to pursue becoming a therapist because I felt that my personal experience with mental health could provide value and support to someone going through something similar. When I was amid my mental health journey with OCD and anxiety, I was embarrassed that I was having such distressing thoughts, mostly because I did not know what was going on. It was not until my own therapist helped me with learning about these disorders, coping mechanisms and who I was outside of having OCD and anxiety that I knew I had found my passion. When I started to understand what living with OCD and anxiety would look like for me, I knew I needed to help others find that as well. Being a teenager and young adult with an anxiety disorder is very difficult, and with my firsthand experience, I knew I needed to take that educational and career path to achieve the goal of helping others through a similar journey.

I love to find inspiration anywhere with a beach, this could be camping, an all-inclusive holiday or the lakes near by.

Exercising x3 times per week. Getting as much sleep as possible (8-10 hours per night). Listening and being in tune with my body as to what I need, whether that be time by myself, exercising, or taking care of my mental health.

The biggest interests that show a bit about myself is around travelling with my family, camping, watching true documentaries, and being creative with crafts.
