DANIELLA SILVESTRI, MA

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

As a dedicated and compassionate Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), I am deeply passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and cultivate greater resilience and well-being. With a background in counselling psychology and additional training in polyvagal theory, mindfulness, grief, bereavement, and working with first responders, I bring a holistic approach to my practice, recognizing the interconnectedness of mental, emotional, and relational health.

My therapeutic approach is rooted in empathy, collaboration, and empowerment. I believe in creating a safe and supportive space where clients feel seen, heard, and validated as they explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences.

My goal is to assist clients in gaining insight, developing coping skills, and fostering positive change in their lives. Looking for glimmers in our day to day lives can help to shift our attention away from negative thoughts, even if just momentarily. I enjoy taking walks with my dogs and appreciating their curiosity of the world. Sometimes after a busy day, I like to slow myself down by painting pictures and quotes onto rocks.

Sometimes when we experience hard things, we are constantly waiting for them to get easier. But sometimes, the opposite of hard is not easy. Sometimes the opposite of hard is soft. So even when things seem like they won’t get easier, they may get softer, making it easier to manage.

Are you curious about Daniella?

Originally, I went to school for medical and advanced aesthetics. It always felt nice to hear that coming to see me what is a part of people's day that they looked forward to. It was also really nice to know that I was able to be a part of turning someone's bad day into a better day. But I knew my impact was not as deep and meaningful as it could be, so I decided to go back to school. I wanted to be able to help people maintain the good feelings.

Inspiration can be found in the beauty of the world around us! Sometimes I find it in nature, especially in spring, when the flowers are just starting to peek out of the newly thawed earth. Other times I find it in the interactions with my family and friends.

Self reflection, drinking water, ongoing sessions with my therapist.

I am a big crafter! Whether it is painting, constructing a costume, or building something D.I.Y style, I love to create.

Why would a potential client come to Kindred Hope?

Kindred Hope Staff cultivate a warm, empathetic, and inclusive atmosphere that helps to create a space where clients feel comfortable, supported, and empowered to engage in the therapeutic process.

WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVOURITE THINGS TO DO?

I love cuddling in bed with my dogs, while playing a game of spider solitaire on my tablet. In the Fall, on days where it is perfect sweater weather, I love going for trail hikes through forests and seeing all the changing colours of the leaves.
